— Phihong USA, one of the most trusted names in power electronics, has announced the expansion of its 30W, Level V power adapter product offering with a wall plug with interchangeable AC clips. Designated the PSAA30R series, the adapters are available in 12V, 15V, 24V and 56V offerings and are compliant with all worldwide efficiency regulations including the recently mandatory Energy Related Products directive for the European Union. Designed as a replacement to the recently retired PSC30R series, the PSAA30R is for applications including POS equipment, network and gaming machines, and peripherals.

The fully isolated, class B EMI adapter series has a no-load power draw of less than 0.3W and a minimum efficiency rating greater than 84%, making it compliant for Level V efficiency marking in addition to UL, CE, C-Tick and SAA safety approvals. Additional standard safety features include over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit protection enabling the outputs to be turned off without any damage to the unit.
AC clips are available for Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Europe, Korea, India, the United Kingdom and the United States. A clip that has an IEC320 C8 input is also available to convert the wall plug into a desktop-style adapter able to be powered by a two-wire line cord. All AC clips are sold separately.
Each wall plug adapter measures 83mm by 55mm by 39mm and weighs 150g. The standard DC cable measures 1.5m and is terminated with a center positive barrel measuring 2.1mm by 5.5mm by 9.5mm.
