Phihong Adds Dimmable Models to Two Waterproof Constant Voltage LED Driver Series
New dimmable LED drivers provide expanded functionality & enhance design flexibility in a variety of outdoor applications
Fremont, CA (August 06, 2013) — Phihong USA, a global leader in power solutions for LED lighting applications, has expanded its PDA072 and PDA080 constant voltage LED driver series with 0-10V dimming models. The new PDA072 Series addition, designated the PDA072W-24VG-R, is rated for outputs of 72W at 24VDC and the new PDA080 Series addition, designated the PDA080W-48VG-R, is rated for outputs of 80W at 48VDC.
"The addition of dimming to our waterproof, Class 2, 72W and 80W constant voltage LED drivers provides users with a cost effective way to dim multiple strings of LEDs with a single power source,â€ said Keith Hopwood, vice president of Phihong. "Adding dimming features to the simplicity of the constant voltage design also provides engineers with much greater design flexibility when planning outdoor lighting installations."
Both the PDA072 and PDA080 LED driver series are fully potted and waterproof with an ingress protection (IP) rating of 67, meaning that they are capable of operation in wet and dry environments. The drivers also feature power factor correction greater than 0.9 per Energy Star guidelines for SSL luminaries and have efficiency ratings greater than 88% at 277VAC inputs.
Standard features for the newly expanded series include over-voltage, over-current, short circuit and open-circuit protections. Driver outputs for the series are rated Class 2 per UL1310 and bear safety approval markings from CE and UL.
The PDA072W and PDA080W Series LED drivers carry standard five-year warranties and measure 241mm (9.49â€) x 43mm (1.69â€) x 30.5mm (1.2â€) and weigh 750g (1.65lbs). Pricing for the 72W units starts at $77.84 in single unit quantities and pricing for the 80W units starts at $89.97 in single unit quantities.
