Sales Engineer

Location: Northern California

Responsibilities:
Job duties:  Responsible for the OEM/ODM project engagement and management and business development of power supplies, battery charges and related products for the major customers, such as Black and Decker, GoPro, and Bose.  Work with OEM/ODM partners to conduct Design For Manufacture (DFM) improvement on new product and product review. Work closely with company’s engineering and factory production and manufacturing personnel to develop quotations custom-tailored to meet OEM/ODM partners requirement and specifications; Work with cross-functional groups to successfully build the products for customers — work with Electrical Engineering group to select the suitable components to meet customers’ specifications; work with Design Layout group to make sure electrical circuit board meet the efficiency and spec perimeter; work with Mechanical Group to make sure the case enclosure meet customers’ specifications; act as a liaison between customers, manufacturer, and Product Safety Compliance group on issues related to safety certification standards; work with the Manufacturing Production Engineering group to ensure products meet quality standards and pursuant to the specifications. Provide Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advance Product Quality Process (APQA). Manage projects from Request for Quotation (RFQ) phase to production launch. Monitor customer preferences to assist the company’s sales team in determining the focus of sales efforts. Provide efficient and effective support to designated accounts to achieve or exceed total customer satisfaction as well as provide and update internal/external customers on business, market development and relevant technologies information. Offer strategic planning to counterparts so all may achieve maximum results. Comply with ISO and other internal quality control standards and requirements as well as participate in various company-wide initiatives/projects.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Science, or Engineering and twenty-four (24) months of experience in OEM/ODM project management and business development; delivering complex consumer and OEM projects; Design For Manufacture (DFM) on new products; experience working with global 1st tier IT customer; managing project from Request of Quotation (RFQ) phase to production launch; working with global cross functional team; R&D project planning, schedule, risk and cost control.
